St. Simons, Georgia

St. Simons Iceland is a small island in the Atlantic off the Georgia coast ( east coast of the United States) and is one of the Golden Isles. Capital is St. Simons. On the island there are numerous cotton plantations.

The first inhabitants of the island have from about 2000 BC settled for fishing (initially only seasonal).
