Stabroek is a Belgian municipality located in the Flemish region with 18,028 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2012). It is located north of the metropolitan area of Antwerp on the edge of the docks, about 13 kilometers north of the city center, and directly borders on the Netherlands. The municipality still include not only the main town of some smaller districts such as, inter alia, Heuvels, Hoevenen and Putte.

Brussels is located about 54 kilometers (km ) south and the Dutch city of Rotterdam good 62 km north.

The community has its own motorway connects ( Stabroek ) on the A12, the Antwerp Rotterdam. In chapels is the nearest regional station in Antwerp and also keep on regional express trains. Antwerp airport and the airport of Rotterdam are the closest regional airports and near the capital Brussels National is an international airport.
