The Stade Gabriel Montpied is located in Clermont -Ferrand, Puy-de -Dôme in the Auvergne region (France). It has 10,607 seats, and mainly used by the football club Clermont Foot. Opened in 1995, it has its name from the former mayor of Clermont- Ferrand ( 1944-1973 ) Gabriel Montpied.

The stadium consists mainly of the 8000 -seat grandstand Gergovie. On the opposite stand Limagne find 1100 spectators, the stands behind the goals hot livradois and Volcano. The main grandstand with its curved roof reminiscent of a human eye. The design won the 1997 Architecture Award Prix National d'Architecture. Due to the hurricane Lothar end of December 1999, nearly 60 percent of the roof were covered.

The largest number of spectators was found on 20 October 2003 at the stadium. To match Clermont Foot -AS Saint- Étienne were 10,562 spectators. There are plans to expand the arena.
