Stade Plabennecois

Stade Plabennecois Football is a French football club from Plabennec Brittany 's Finistere.

History

The club was founded in 1934 under the name Étoile Saint- Thenenan; he belonged to the Catholic sports movement. After the Second World War, the connection to the Fédération Française de Football took place. In 1969 the club a merger with Plabennec Sports and adopted its present name.

1990 Plabennec succeeded for the first time, the rise in the Division d' Honneur, the highest regional amateur class, and in 1997 even in the top national amateur league. In 2008 /09 the team played in this fourth-rate Championnat de France amateur (CFA). After the relegation of FC Sète before the 2009/10 season Stade Plabennec was included as one of the CFA group runners-up later in the third league.

The club colors are red and white. The league team wears since 1972 from their home games at the Stade de Kervéguen, which has a capacity of 3,000 seats. Club president Hervé Foll, coach of the Ligaelf Franck Kerdiles. (August 2010)

League membership and achievements

Professional status, the club has never possessed, nor class (Division 1 since 2002 in Ligue 1 renamed) played. 2013/14 plays in the fourth division Stade Championnat de France amateur. The sporty biggest success so far was reaching the fourth round in the National Cup in the 2009/10 season, after Stade Plabennec earlier in this competition in 2003/ 04 already the sixteenth and three times ( 1989/90, 1990/91 and 2005/ 06) the Zweiunddreißigstelfinale, the first nationwide main Round, had achieved. 2012/13 threw the Bretons even the first division club Stade Reims from the competition, but failed in the subsequent Round of the OSC Lille.
