The Stadio Danilo Martelli is the municipal stadium in the northern Italian city of Mantova in Lombardy. The playing field is surrounded by a track and field facility. It was opened in 1961 and currently has 14,884 seats. It is named after the Italian footballer Danilo Martelli, who belonged to the crew of the Grande Torino and on May 4, In 1949 died in the Superga air disaster. 1977 part of the roof was destroyed by a tornado.
