Plans are located in Cesena to build a new stadium. As Italy is applied to the European Football Championship in 2016; Cesena competed as one of the venues. Ultimately, however, the European Championship in France was awarded. An initial examination of the candidate cities has already been performed. The Stadio Dino Manuzzi would have been demolished. However, the application of Italy was not successful and so no new stadium in Cesena is built.
