The Stadio Carlo Zecchini is a multi-purpose stadium with facilities for athletics in Grosseto. The Italian city located in the province in the Tuscany region.

History

Built in 1960 under the name Stadio Olimpico Comunale sports venue is the venue of the football club U.S. Grosseto. The present name dates back to a former player of the club in the 1960s. The first game took place between the Olympic teams of Italy and France (1-1) on 5 June 1960.

The stadium hosted three matches at the Olympic Summer Games 1960.

Also international athletics competitions were held in the arena. 2001 Athletics Junior Championships in Grosseto Station made ​​. Three years later it was the IAAF World Junior Championships.

2007 rose to U.S. Grosseto in Serie B, and the venue has been adapted to the requirements. Access to the stadium was improved; the changing rooms renewed; installed an electronic scoreboard and laid a new lawn.
