SSV Reutlingen 05

The stadium at the cross oak is a football stadium in Reutlingen. It is the home of the SSV Reutlingen 05, who currently plays in the Oberliga Baden- Württemberg.

History

Was built the stadium at the Kreuzeiche in 1953. Grandstand was demolished after the match on 9 March 2002 against 1 FSV Mainz 05, to make room for a new building. On 14 January 2003, the new stand was officially opened with a game against Bayern Munich. The financial burden caused by the construction led to the refusal of a license in the summer of 2003 and the crash of the Reutlinger in the league.

The current capacity is:

  • Grandstand 5,228 covered seats
  • Standing 10,000 not covered standing places, of which 1,200, separated by a double fence in the guest block
  • Total capacity 15,228

Events

The stadium was also been the venue of three women's soccer internationals: As part of the Women's Football Championship 2001 Double Round took place on 28 June 2001. Denmark defeated France 4-3 Norway and Italy parted 1:1. On 15 November 2003, the German women 's national soccer team beat Portugal's selection with 13:0. This was also the first women's international game, which was broadcast live in prime time in the ARD.

On May 26, 2008, the stadium was the venue for the international friendly match between Poland and Macedonia, which ended in a draw 1:1.
