The Štadión Antona Malatinského is currently building under reconstruction football stadium in Trnava Slovak. In the 1921 opened stadium of the football club Spartak Trnava plays. The stadium had 18 448 seats to demolition and is close to the historic old town of the city, surrounded by the streets Kollárova, Športová, Koniarekova and Dolné Bašty.

History

In 1998 the stadium was renamed in honor of footballer who died in 1992 and national coach Anton Malatinský. In 2006, the stadium was completely renovated. Spartak Trnava played therefore temporarily in Senec. The portal Sport7.sk has named the facility in May 2011 as the second most beautiful stadium in Slovakia.

New

The city of Trnava and Investor City Arena signed in November 2012 a contract for the reconstruction of the stadium. For about 15 million euros to be built by the end of 2014 a modern arena with 19,000 seats. To the 76 million euros comprehensive construction project include a shopping center, a two-storey underground car park with 1,150 spaces, 4,150 square feet of office space, a multiplex cinema with 600 seats.

In May 2013, the demolition of three of the four stands the longitudinal grandstand in the West began, only retained. The groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for September 2013. With the new construction of the West Stand, the space could be increased later to 30,000.
