1993 Debreceni Vasutas SC rose to the highest football league in Hungary, the Nemzeti National Championship, on. As the old Nagyerdei Stadium from 1934 no longer met the requirements of DVSC stadium moved to the Oláh Gábor úti.

In 2014, the Debreceni VSC will move to the then newly Nagyerdei Stadium.
