The Dan - Păltinişanu Stadium (Romanian: Stadionul Dan Păltinişanu ) in Timişoara is the home stadium of the Romanian football first division club FC Politehnica Timişoara. It has 32 972 seats, of which 1,742 are covered.
Name of the stadium
The first stadium May 1 called stadium was renamed in 1996. Its current name comes the Romanian football player Dan Păltinişanu, who played from 1973-1983 for Politehnica Timişoara and 1995, a year before the renaming, died.
Stadium
The Dan - Păltinişanu Stadium was built in 1960. A small roof is located just above the main grandstand, otherwise the stadium is not covered. The seats were replaced with bucket seats. The floodlight has a thickness of 1.400 Lux The stadium is located in Strada Aries.
As cabins are the competing teams rooms with an area of 62 m² ( host ) and 50 m² (guests) are available. The press are 130 seats and a conference hall with a capacity of 75 people. Furthermore, there are 20 cabins for radio and television broadcasts as well as two television studios with 25 sqm ready. The stadium has a 6m electronic display board measuring 10 x.
