City Pilot is a follow-up project of the team CarOLO with the TU Braunschweig had participated in 2007 at the DARPA Urban Challenge 2007 with the vehicle Caroline. As with the previous project of the TU Institute of Electrical Engineering, computer science and engineering work together. The project is a vehicle equipped with passive and active sensors VW Passat. Compared to other international projects the vehicle Attachments appear rather decent. The project software controls the steering, throttle and brake.

The demonstrated before media project objective is that the vehicle automatically threading out of a parking space in the regular traffic, performs on a set course lane changes and turning maneuvers, returning to the starting point and einparkt. This would be a world first-time performance.
