Stævnet

Stævnet (Danish: The meeting ) or Copenhagen XI was a Danish national team. They recruited since 1904 of several - in the course up to eleven - football clubs of the capital, the so-called " Stævnet clubs " (Danish: " Stævneklubberne " ) and existed officially until 1994 The Stævnet team took, especially in the. years 1955-1960 and 1961-1964 for Denmark in the European Fairs Cup, the predecessor of the UEFA Cup, in part. In the other cup competitions, so the European Champions Cup and the European Cup Winners' Cup, however, played pure Copenhagen club teams in that they had qualified for it. From the beginning of the 1970s, the team lost its importance.

While the team usually consisted of players from the " Stævneklubberne ", but at times also strengthened actors other Danish clubs the team on loan. As the eleven completed two games against Chelsea in 1958 alone eight or seven players came from the club BK Frem Copenhagen. The majority of the friendlies played the team against English opponents. The highlight, however, was formed on May 10, 1960 without a doubt the clash with the reigning world champion from Brazil, which lost the Danish national team only with 3:4.
