Staffanstorp

Staffanstorp is a place ( tätort ) in the southern Swedish province of Skåne County, in the historical province Scania. It is the capital of the municipality of the same name.

History

The name of the village was first mentioned in 1304, then still as Stafnsthorp. He was later amended in Stanstorp. With the opening of the railway station, put you on Staffanstorp fixed to avoid confusion with other places. Despite the long existence Staffanstorp town rights were never awarded.
