Staind

Staind is an American rock band from Springfield, Massachusetts. It consists of Aaron Lewis (vocals, guitar), Mike Mushok (guitar), Johnny " Old School" April (bass, background vocals ) and Will Hunt ( drums).

History

Staind begin their career in 1995 with several concerts. In November 1996 they release the album Tormented, from which they can sell at least 4000 copies on their own. In October 1997, she played together with Limp Bizkit concert and Fred Durst signed the band to his label Flip Records. In 1999, she published her first full-length album then, Dysfunction, with them the breakthrough. They sold over a million albums of Dysfunction.

Followed in 2001 their third album, Break the Cycle, which is often referred to as their best. The album also includes a live version of the song Outside that was sung along with Fred Durst. Within two weeks Staind can sell over two million albums. 2003 saw the album 14 Shades of Grey, the reviews of this album are divided, some say Staind have found their sound while others complain lack of innovations. This however, there was definitely brought out in the 2005 album Chapter V ( first single Right Here, Falling second single, the third single Everything Changes ).

Staind reached with the three consecutive albums Break the Cycle, 14 Shades of Grey and Chapter V, respectively No. 1 on the U.S. charts. To may also have benefited from a "MTV Unplugged " play, which was then released on DVD.

On 19 August 2008 appeared in the U.S., the sixth studio album called The Illusion of Progress, released in Germany took place on 5 September 2008. The album was released by Warner Music Group. In the U.S. it appeared on Atlantic Records, was performed in all other countries, the publication by Roadrunner Records. Both belong to the label, Warner Music Group. The end of 2010, they returned again to the studio to produce their seventh album, Staind, which was finally released on September 9, 2011. In addition to the simple album, a Special Edition was released, containing two bonus tracks and a DVD.

On 20 May 2011 Staind announced on its website that Jon Wysocki was no longer their drummer and would be replaced by Will Hunt.
