Stallehr

Stallehr is a municipality in the district of Bludenz in Vorarlberg, Austria with 278 inhabitants (December 31, 2013).

Geography

Stallehr is located in the westernmost province of Austria, Vorarlberg, the district of Bludenz to 600 meters. It is located at the exit of the monastery valley at the northeastern foot of Davennakopfes. Neighboring municipalities are Bludenz and Lorüns.

79.0 % of the area is forested. There are no other local villages in Stallehr.

History

The first settlement should be gone already in Roman, perhaps even in pre-Roman times of Bludenz as the capital of the Walgau out in front of him.

Between 1531 and 1612, the town was repeatedly ravaged by the plague. 1640, the church was consecrated in Stallehr.

The Habsburgs ruled the areas in Vorarlberg changing of Tyrol and Further Austria from ( Freiburg im Breisgau). From 1805 to 1814 the area was under Bavarian rule, then back to Austria.

Stallehr heard since the mid-16th century to the Montafon Valley. For the Austrian state of Vorarlberg Stallehr heard since the foundation in 1861.

In 1939 Stallehr was incorporated into Bludenz, which existed until the took place on December 8, 1946 election, in which the Stallehrer decided by an overwhelming majority on a separation of Bludenz. With the beginning of 1947 Stallehr was declared an independent municipality.

Stallehr 1945-1955 was part of the French zone of occupation in Austria.

Name

The name " Stallehr " derives from the Latin " stabularia " - ie from stables. The name appears first documented in 1355 in the episode in 1394 as Stallär 1497 Stallör, 1531 and 1571 Stallara, 1646 Stallehrs, 1792 Stallühr and 1802 Stallehr on. Since the year 1802, the place has the name unchanged.

Coat of arms

Description: The coat of arms is divided into black and silver. Above a crossed mine characters ( hammer and chisel ) and down three rings, 2-1, in mistook colors.

Symbolism: The three rings are the coat of arms of Rüdiger (medieval knights ) removed.

Economy and infrastructure

In the village there were 109 wage tax -employed in 2003. Jobs offer the company drinks Ganahl - Arlberg sodas, the crushing and screen mechanism Lorüns and the company Transbeton. At the entrance there is the long-established guest house Alfenz.

For the rural infrastructure of Davennasaal is available as a performance venue for cultural events and gatherings of all kinds. Housed in Davennasaal are furthermore a small grocery store for the local supply, a youth room, a rehearsal room for the harmony of music, facilities for the care of the elderly, a rehearsal room for the choir Sunshine and more space for public use. The community Stallehr is integrated in the Public transport links with a bus stop at the entrance. For recreational activities onsite include Kleinfeld - sports court, a bike path, hiking trails and in winter cross-country ski.

The school and kindergarten education is organized in a private school and kindergarten Sprengel together with the plot Bings (district of Bludenz ). Location of school and kindergarten located in Bings (about 1 km from Stallehr ).
