There are the districts Asbach, Diebersried, Dörfling, Frieder Ried, Großenzenried, Hitzelsberg, Kollenzendorf and Stamsried.

History

The market Stamsried belonged to Rentamt Amberg and the district court weather field of the Electorate of Bavaria. The counts of Holnstein and the Barons of Trogler had an open Hofmark here. Stamsried had at least since 1524 the market rights with important intrinsic rights ( eg neck jurisdiction). In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria, was born with the community of 1818, the current community.

On the Haidberg at Stamsried are the ruins of the castle built in 1346 Kürnberg.

Incorporations

On April 1, 1949, a part of the dissolved municipality Hilpersried was incorporated. On 1 July 1971 were Diebersried ( with the incorporated on April 1, 1949 the rest of the community Hilpersried ), Frieder Ried and Hitzelsberg added. On July 1, followed in 1972 Großenzenried from the dissolved district Nine vorm Wald. Parts of the territory of Hans Ried ( Thanried ) were added on 1 May 1978.

Mayor is Herbert Bauer ( CSU).

The municipal tax revenue amounted to the equivalent of € 637,000 in 1999, which amounted to the trade tax revenues ( net) converted € 67,000.

Coat of arms

Blazon: In red with a silver zigzag bar a golden flat breach. The coat of arms has been known since the 17th century.

Economy, agriculture and forestry

It was in 1998 according to official statistics in the field of agriculture and forestry five, 134 in manufacturing and in trade and transport 34 persons work at the workplace. In other areas, were employed to social security at the workplace 73 people. Social insurance contributions at residence, there were a total of 672 in the manufacturing sector, there was an operation in the construction of four plants. In addition, in 1999, there were 128 farms with an agricultural area of 2,779 ha, of which 1697 ha of arable land and 1,081 ha of permanent grassland.
