Stan Shih

Stan Shih (Chinese施振荣, Pinyin Shī Zhenrong, born December 8, 1944 in Lugang, Changhua County ) is a Taiwanese entrepreneur, founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO ) of the Acer Group.

Life and work

After Shih had completed a Bachelor's and Master's degree in electrical engineering from Chiao -Tung University, Hsinchu, 1976, he founded together with his wife and five others, the company Multitech, which was renamed Acer in 1987. He remained there until his retirement in 2004, CEO of Acer Group. In November 2013 Shih was re-appointed as CEO of Acer.

Stan Shih is married and has three children.
