Stanford–Binet Intelligence Scales

The Stanford -Binet test is a verbal intelligence test, whose first version was published in 1937. In the revised version of 1960 several tasks were combined.

There are age-specific test variants up to the age of 14 years, and there are four tests, one of which is intended for normal gifted and three for gifted adults. So questions are asked to the meaning of proverbs and checked the set memory. Further investigation topics are orientation, memory for numbers, opposites and reproduction of the main theses of included text.

History

The Stanford -Binet test was published by Lewis Madison Terman as a further development of Alfred Binet Binet - Simon test. Here also the researches William Stern played a role.
