Stanford dragon

The Stanford dragon is made ​​with a 3D scanner computer graphics test model of Stanford University.

The dragon consists of 871 414 triangles, and was created by the 3D scan of a real figure. The data can be used to test various graphics algorithms. The model is especially suitable for polygon simplification, compressions and surface smoothing. The record appeared for the first time in 1996.
