Stanislav Alexandrovich Belkovski (Russian Станислав Александрович Белковский, scientific transliteration Stanislav Aleksandrovich Belkowskij; * 1970 in Riga ) is a Russian political scientist Polish- Jewish origin.

He is the director of the Moscow Institute of National Strategy and deals extensively with the policies of Vladimir Putin.

Belkovski was supposedly born in 1970 in Riga, and later trained as a systems engineer. In the 1990s he worked in Moscow as a programmer and as an advisor and speechwriter for various liberal politicians, including Irina Chakamada. Information on his resume should be treated with caution as it has apparently self-published incorrect information on the Internet.

He is the founder of the since 2002 existing, non-commercial " National Strategy Institute " and lives in Moscow and Moscow region.

Belkovski 2003 became famous when he published a study indicating that in Russia threatened a coup of the oligarchs. His paper was seen as one of the triggers of the Khodorkovsky affair.
