Stanislav Gron

Stanislav Gron ( born October 28, 1978 in Bratislava, Czechoslovakia) is a Slovak ice hockey player standing since the summer of 2012 at SG Cortina in the Italian Serie A1 under contract.

Career

Stanislav Gron began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth of HC Slovan Bratislava, for the first team, he was active in the Slovak Extraliga 1995-1997. He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1997 in the second round than a total of 38 players from the New Jersey Devils. First, however, the attacker spent two years playing in the Canadian top junior Western Hockey League for the Seattle Thunderbirds and Kootenay Ice, as well as one of New Jersey's farm team in the American Hockey League, the Albany River Rats, before the 2000/ 01 season his debut in the National Hockey League for the New Jersey Devils were. In his only NHL - use of the Slovak point and remained unpunished. However, the majority of his time in the franchise of the Devils from 1999 to 2002 he spent in the AHL with the River Rats.

In summer 2002, Gron returned to Europe, where he worked for HC Vitkovice in the Czech Extraliga was initially for one year on the ice. After he started the 2003/04 season in the league rivals HC Slavia Prague, he moved to MsHK Žilina with which he in his career Slovakian champion was the first time in the 2005/06 season. In the following season the former youth international received a contract with the foxes Duisburg, he still left during the current season to play for HC Košice, with whom he was in a row champion 2009, 2010 and 2011 three times. Internationally

For Slovakia Gron took part in the U20 World Junior Championships in 1997 and 1998 at junior level. In the senior level, he was so far only in the 2010 World Cup on the ice.
