Stanislav Petukhov

Stanislaw Afanassjevitch Petukhov (Russian Станислав Афанасьевич Петухов; born August 19, 1937 in Moscow) is a former Soviet ice hockey player.

Career

During his career, the striker played for Dynamo Moscow. In all, he scored 170 goals in 388 games in the Soviet league. He was appointed to the team of Soviet national ice hockey team early on. On November 24, 1959, he was in a game against Sweden for the first time for the Sbornaja on the ice. His international career was crowned with the gold medal at the Olympic Winter Games in 1964. Four years earlier, he had already won the bronze medal with his team. For the national team, he scored 19 goals in 46 internationals. In the Ice Hockey World Championship 1963 he became world champion with his team. In 1963 he was inducted into the "Russian Hockey Hall of Fame". On 21 February 1965, he played his last international match.
