Stanislav Seman

Stanislav Seman ( born August 8 1952 in Košice ) is a former Slovak football goalkeeper and current football coach.

Career

Seman began at the age of nine years playing football at Lokomotíva Košice. From 1972 to 1974, the goalkeeper completed his military service at Dukla Banská Bystrica and then returned to Kosice. In the years 1977 and 1979 he won the Czechoslovak Cup with his team. At 32, he moved abroad and joined the Cypriot club Alki Larnaca to where the goalkeeper played until 1987.

In addition, Seman took part in the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow. After a 1-0 victory against the national football team of the GDR in the finals the team was Olympic champion.

Seman also took part in the European Football Championship 1980 in Italy, where he finished third with the team. In addition, Seman took part in the World Cup 1982 in Spain, where Czechoslovakia behind France and England in the first group stage and was only third and therefore stood down.
