Stankovci
Stankovci (Italian Stancovazzo ) is a municipality in Croatia in the Zadar County.
Location and population
Stankovci located on the coast road from Šibenik to Benkovac about 50 km southeast of Zadar.
The municipality consists of the seven villages Stankovci Banjevci, Bila Vlaka, Budak, Crljenik, Morpolača, Stankovci and Velim and has a total of 2,003 inhabitants, of which only the main town Stankovici 688 people ( 2011 census ).
History
In the 16th and 17th centuries there fought Venetians and Turks around the fortress Velim.
