Stanley Praimnath is a survivor of the attack on the World Trade Center ( WTC) in New York on 11 September 2001. He worked in the South Tower, which was hit by the second plane. While he was sitting at his office desk in the building, he saw how the plane was headed for the WTC. He is one of the few survivors who were able to see the aircraft out of the building.

After the North Tower was hit by the first plane, Praimnath wanted to leave the tower. However, he was asked by a security guard to return to his office. He says he did just as he had reached his office on the 81st floor again, saw the second plane hit right next to his office window. According to him, struck just twenty feet ( six meters) away from his desk under which he sought refuge, the burning wings of the second aircraft in his office door one.

Praimnath was trapped in rubble. However, when he noticed that Brian Clark and some of his colleagues climbed down the stairs only free, he was able to draw on the attention of Clark. From down the hall in which the second plane flew into it 's occupants survived by his side and Clark only sixteen other people. All other employees, who were at that time in the 81st floor, were killed in the rubble of the WTC.

Clark writes about his own survival the help of Praimnath. The group of Clark was not agreed whether they should run to the roof to await evacuation by helicopter, or better should try to get through the stairwell to the outside, even though they were told that this was impossible. While Clark Praimnath freed, his group was already on the way to the roof and was killed in the collapse of the South Tower life. Clark and Praimnath instead try on the stairwell to go down and survived.
