Stanley R. Jaffe

Stanley R. Jaffe ( born July 31, 1940 in New Rochelle, New York) is an American film producer, who was honored in 1980 for the film Kramer vs. Kramer with the Academy Award for Best Picture.

Life

Jaffe began his career as a producer in 1969 with the films To hell with the innocence and the steps of the murderer.

From 1979 he worked as an independent producer and his first film was Kramer vs. Kramer. For this he received the Oscar, he also won the Italian Film Award David di Donatello.

In 1983, he was with the film drama One morning in May, his debut as a director. The hitherto remained his only directorial effort.

In 1984 he founded together with Sherry Lansing, the independent production company Jaffe - Lansing. Common were the two 1988 nominated Fatal Attraction for an Oscar for their production. Their collaboration as producers was carried out until the early 1990s.

Jaffe is married and father of four children.
