Stanmore tube station

Stanmore is an aboveground station London Underground in the London Borough of Harrow. It is located in the Travelcard Zone 5 on the London Road. In 2011, 3.02 million passengers used the northwestern terminus of the Jubilee Line.

The station was opened on December 10, 1932 by the Metropolitan Railway ( predecessor company of the Metropolitan Line) and formed part of the new, electrified from the outset Streckenastes which branches in Wembley Park from the main line. After the integration of the Metropolitan Railway into the net of the London Underground in the following year it was decided to transfer the operation on the branch line to the Bakerloo Line, which happened on 20 November 1939. The Bakerloo Line, in turn, was replaced on 1 May 1979, the newly opened Jubilee Line.
