Starsem

Founded in 1996, European-Russian company Starsem markets commercial satellite launches with the Russian Soyuz rocket from the spaceport in Baikonur.

Starsem are the French -dominated company Arianespace ( 15%), EADS Astrium Space Transportation ( 35%), Russia's space agency Roskosmos (25 %) and the manufacturer of the rocket, TsSKB Progress (25% ) participated.

1999 promoted Starsem among other 24 Globalstar satellites into space, corresponding to a turnover of one billion francs.

The company is based in Evry, near Paris.
