Stasi Museum

The Research and Memorial Norman Street in Building 1 of the former headquarters of the Ministry for State Security (Stasi, Stasi ) is a research and memorial to the political system of the GDR, but especially of the Ministry itself, the exhibition includes the official and working spaces of the former Minister of State Security, Erich Mielke. Support the association is anti-Stalinist Action Berlin - Normannenstrasse eV ( ASTAK ), which was founded in the summer of 1990 by civil rights activists in Berlin. Its aim is to promote the development of the memorial as a center for the collection, preservation, documentation, processing and certificates of competence certificates and thematic research on DDR. Head of Research and Memorial is Jörg Drieselmann.

The so-called House 1 with the offices of the guide has been renovated and once again made available to the public in January 2012.
