State Administration of Foreign Exchange

The State Administration of Foreign Exchange Chinese (Chinese国家 外汇 管理局, Pinyin Guojia waihui guanli ju, English State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE) ) is an agency of the People's Republic of China. She is responsible for the design of rules and regulations for activities in the foreign exchange markets, and the management of the foreign reserves of the Chinese Central Bank, the Chinese People's bank (People's Bank of China). Current director is Hu Xiaolian.

Organization

The institution is claims to be from a main office, 36 administrative offices, 298 central offices and 508 branch offices. According to Spiegel is among the offshoots since 1997, an initially classified SAFE Investment Company, which is responsible for foreign exchange investments.
