The State Bank of India ( SBI) is the largest bank in India. SBI is also measured by the number of business offices and employees the largest bank in the world. SBI is listed in the share index BSE Sensex.

SBI was built in 1806 under the name Bank of Bengal. The bank was nationalized in 1955 with the Reserve Bank of India, which received a proportion of 60 percent.

Associated banks

There are six more next to the SBI associated banks that belong to the SBI. They all use " State Bank of " in their company name and add this to the regional headquarters of the company name with. These seven associate banks belonged originally to the Indian princely states and were nationalized in 1959. All of these seven banks use the same logo of a blue keyhole.
