State Committee for Cinematography

Goskino (Russian Государственный комитет по кинематографии СССР, State Committee of the USSR for the film industry ) was the central agency for the film industry in the Soviet Union.

History

The first authority for film production and distribution of the RSFSR until 1924 was called Goskino. The successor organizations were called Sowkino (up to 1930) and Sojuskino. The task consisted of Sojuskino in the central control of the film industry, with the immediate political control of all film productions. The mandate of Sojuskino extended from 1931/1932 to the whole Soviet Union.

A new Goskino Authority was established on 23 March 1963 the Council of Ministers of the USSR. From 1965 to 1972, she was called the "Committee of Ministers of the film industry ." From 1972 to 1978, the ICRC received back its original name. Between 1978 and the resolution on 14 November 1991, she was called " State Committee of the USSR for the film industry ." Had the line of Goskino Alexei Vladimirovich Romanov, among others (1963-1972) and Filipp Timofejewitsch Ermasch (1972-1986) holds.

Start-up

In 1992, the successor agency " Roskomkino " ( Государственный комитет Российской Федерации по кинематографии, State Committee for Cinematography of the Russian Federation ) and was later renamed " Roskino ". Roskino was disbanded in May 2008 by Vladimir Putin's decree No. 867.
