In the United States of America exist alongside the armed forces of the Federal (U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy ) and the National Guard also State Garden (State Defense Forces), currently in 22 states and Puerto Rico. This Garden State are in contrast to the National Guard used only in the respective states to support the police and National Guard to maintain law and order or for defense. They shall be responsible only to the Governor of any State. During the Second World War, many State Guards were founded fear of a Japanese invasion.
