State Seal of Burma

The Seal of Myanmar was introduced after the constitutional amendment of 2008.

Description of the old seal (1974-2008)

The silver gear in the blue center, which stands for the country's industry, wearing the red map of Myanmar. Is surrounded by golden grain ears the gear that symbolize the agriculture of the country.

The fourteen teeth of the gear are available for the seven states of the minorities and the seven provinces. The rice grains wreath underlines the importance of agriculture to the diet. About the State symbol is a white five-pointed star.

The blue lion symbolize than plate holder by wisdom keyed power and bravery.

The red ribbon at the feet of the lion bears the name of the country in Burmese script.
