Stebach

Stebach is a municipality in the district of Neuwied in the north of Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Dierdorf.

Geography

Stebach located in the southeastern part of the district of Neuwied on the edge of the Westerwald district. The municipality is located in the east of the Rhine -Westerwald.

Stebach is the smallest of the six communities within the municipality Dierdorf. The district size is 238 ha, of which 107 ha (about 45%) of forest land and 105 ha (about 44%) represent agricultural area.

History

To 1135 the monastery Rommersdorf previously founded by the Benedictines, and of these again soon discontinued was taken over by the Premonstratensians and resettled. Economy and infrastructure
