Steelcase is a multinational manufacturer of office furniture. The company was founded in 1912 in Grand Rapids Michigan, USA, where the corporate headquarters is located. At Steelcase Inc. Steelcase include North America, responsible for the U.S., Canada and Mexico, as well as Steelcase International, a holding company of the other countries with headquarters in Strasbourg ( France). Worldwide Steelcase has about 10,400 employees, 21 production sites and 650 dealers. 1980 Pohlschröder was purchased at 50 % of the U.S. company Steelcase Inc. of Grand Rapids and the French company Stanfor, from Strasburg. Steelcase Werndl AG

It was formed in 1998 from the acquisition of werndl Office Furniture Ltd, founded in 1895 in Rosenheim. The Germany - Central and one of the manufacturing facilities are located in Rosenheim ( Bavaria). Second production site is Durlangen (Baden- Württemberg). At both sites in Germany a total of 656 employees. The German subsidiary generated a turnover of 191 million euros in fiscal 2012. Research
