Stefan Ertl

Stefan Ertl (born 21 April 1969) is a former German football player.

Career

Ertl began his professional career at Borussia Mönchengladbach, having previously kicked in the Palatinate at SV Geinsheim and VfR Frankenthal. For Mönchengladbach he was in his first game on 15 August 1992 Karlsruhe successfully with a goal to make it 2-1 (final score 2:4 for the KSC). This gate should remain its only in professional football. After he came at the end of the season to nine inserts, changed to 1993/94 season to Fortuna Köln in the Bundesliga 2, where, however, he also only sporadic and mostly as a substitute was used. After just one season in Cologne, he went back to the Southwest, where he played for three years at TSG Pfeddersheim. In 1997, the first FC Kaiserslautern was his next stop. With the Red Devils, he became German champion in 1998, although he completed only five games in the pros and was mostly used in the amateurs ( eight goals in 18 games in the Regionalliga West / Southwest ).

In 1998 he moved to the Regionalliga Süd to Kickers Offenbach, with which he became a regular player with six goals scored in the 2nd league in the first year. Here he came in seven of the first eight season games to use, but then suffered a tibia and fibula fracture, so he played no new game. So he could not prevent the descent of the Offenbach from the 2nd league also. 2000/ 01 he was playing regularly in the Regionalliga Süd. After Offenbach was only tenth at the end of the season he left the club and went to straight out of the same league in the 2nd league Ascended Karlsruher SC.

In the North Badeners Ertl could not prevail and came off the bench in his ten inserts in the 2001/ 02 season, usually just before closing. 2002/ 03 he came even to even use any more with the pros and eventually switched to Wormatia Worms, where he end his career. 2006 ended his career Stefan Ertl.
