Stefan Kraft

Stefan Kraft ( born May 13, 1993 Schwarzach im Pongau) is an Austrian ski jumper.

Career

Force, which starts for the club SV Schwarzach, came at the age of ten years for ski jumping. There he coached at Christian Wallner. Two years later he was already his international debut at the first FIS Jumping, having finished sixth overall at the Austriacup 2005. From 2008 started force in Alpine Cup before it was first in iron ore was given a starting place in the FIS Cup in January 2009.

When Alpine Cup 2010 he scored consistently good results, even in the most podium area. The last competition in Hinterzarten on January 15, 2011 he won. He was then nominated by the Association for Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in Estonian Otepaeae and won silver in the individual and in the team with Michael Hayböck, Mark Schiffner and Thomas Lackner gold. He exhibited at the Tehvandi hill with 100 meters of a new hill record. After the World Youth Championship, he was appointed to the Continental Cup squad and was able to already win the first competition in Brotterode. In the second competition he finished eighth. Also in Iron Mountain, Kranj and Zakopane launched power in the Continental and got points.

In the 2011 summer season force launched mainly in the Continental Cup, where he finished in Courchevel 30 July 2011 the second place .. On October 1, 2011 in Hinzenbach it was first used in the Grand Prix and was there right away as his 29 erspringen first two Grand Prix points.

His World Cup debut in force on 6 January 2012, at the final competition of the Four Hills Tournament 2011/12, when he was in Bischofshofen 54. In January 2013 he won again during the Four Hills Tournament at Bergisel than 23 his first World Cup points. Exactly one year after his World Cup debut reached power in Bischofshofen in only his third World Cup competition with the 3rd rank his first podium in the World Cup. Only two days later, on January 8, 2013, he presented the qualifying competition on the hill in Wisła Malinka with a jump on 139 meters a new hill record. At the Junior World Championships 2013 in Liberec, he finished behind Jaka Hvala and Klemens Muranka third place, missed with the Austrian team in fourth but another medal. In Oberstdorf force celebrated on February 16, 2013 at Heini Klopfer ski jump ski flying his debut, finishing at first a strong eleventh place. When there Mannschaftsskifliegen a day later he jumped with 208 meters the longest jump of his career so far.
