Stefan Kurt

Stefan Kurt ( born October 22, 1959 in Bern ) is a Swiss film and theater actor.

Life

Kurt received his education at the Conservatory of Music and Theatre Bern ( now called the University of the Arts Bern ).

From 1985 to 1993 he was an ensemble member of the Thalia Theatre, and worked with directors such as Jürgen Flimm and Robert Wilson. For his portrayal of Silvio in The Servant of Two Masters in 1987, he received the Boy Gobert Prize. In 2003 he played the Valerio in Robert Wilson's production of Leonce and Lena by Georg Büchner at the Berliner Ensemble, where he was also seen in other major roles such as in The Winter's Tale by Shakespeare.

Since 1993, Stefan Kurt appeared in numerous television and film productions. Repeatedly he was under the direction of Oliver Storz front of the camera. For The shadow man and the end of the night he was awarded in 1997 and 1999 respectively with the Adolf Grimme Prize. For his performance in Three Lives - One minute dark Stefan Kurt in 2011 for Best actor was honored with a nomination for the German Television Award. As early as 1996 he had received its precursor, the Telestar for The Shadow Man. Kurt also worked in the theater as a director and composed music for stage and studio recordings.
