Stefan Lorenz Sorgner

Stefan Lorenz Sorgner (born 15 October 1973, Wetzlar ) is a German posthumanistischer philosopher, Nietzsche researchers, music philosopher and an expert in the field of ethics of new technologies.

Life

Stefan Lorenz Sorgner studied philosophy at King's College London ( BA), the University of Durham ( MA by thesis), from the Justus -Liebig- University of Giessen and the Friedrich Schiller University Jena ( Dr. phil; Examiner:. Wolfgang Welsch, Jena, Gianni Vattimo, Turin ). Before he came to Erlangen, he taught philosophy and ethics at the University of Giessen, Jena, Erfurt and Klagenfurt. Sorgner is a member of numerous editorial and advisory boards, including Co-editor of the series " Music Philosophy " at the Alber Verlag, editor of the series "Beyond Humanism: Trans -and Posthumanism / Beyond Humanism: Trans- and post-humanism " from the publisher Peter Lang, a member of the Editorial Board ( as Editorial Consultant ) of the "Journal of Evolution and Technology ". Currently, he teaches medical ethics at the University of Erlangen- Nuremberg.

His remarks on the relationship of Nietzsche and the trans-and post-humanism, as well as his criticism of human dignity and its related proposals for revision were received several times.
