Stefan Meissner

Stefan Meissner ( born March 8, 1973 in Bad Harzburg ) is a former German football player.

Career

Meissner began his professional career at Eintracht Braunschweig, moved in 1994 to VfL Wolfsburg, where he was elected in 1995 to Lower Saxony's Footballer of the Year, and then four years later to the Bundesliga relegated Karlsruher SC. After a 5th place in the re-emergence was missed in the season 1998/99, it got worse and the KSC rose from the Regionalliga the following season. Meissner left the club and moved to Chemnitz FC in the Regionalliga Nord. After he had lost his place there, he moved into the winter break of the 2004/ 05 league internally to the second team of VfL Wolfsburg, with which he descended in the Oberliga Nord at the end of the season. 2005/ 06 he played 10 times for Wolfsburg and then had to end his career due to a cartilage injury in the knee.

As of July 2010 was Meissner assistant coach of the U-19 team of the 1st FC Kaiserslautern. As head coach of the team functioned until March 2011 Gunther Metz, Meissner's former teammate at Karlsruher SC. Since his move to the U- 17 of the FCK Meissner is responsible for the U-19 as head coach. For the 2011/12 season Meissner was coach of the U-16 team and took over in October 2011, the Office of the coach of the U-17 team after the be incurred until the summer of 2011 Coach Guido Streichsbier had left the FCK again.
