Stefan Thurnbichler
Stefan Thurnbichler ( born March 2, 1984 in Innsbruck, Tirol ) is a former Austrian ski jumper.
Career
He is a member of the Kitzbühel Ski Club and was a member of the Austrian A-team, the second highest of the ÖSV. He jumped at the start of his career mainly in the Continental Cup. Only in the season 2009/2010 he came to regular inserts in the World Cup. He also took part in this season at the Four Hills Tournament and reached the 15th place. His best-ever individual placing in the World Cup is a 4th place he could achieve in Sapporo on January 16, 2010. At the World Cup competition in Willingen on February 7, 2010, he reached the 3rd place with the team. On 21 March 2003, he had also ended with the Austrian team, jumping in Planica in 3rd place.
His personal distance record is 224 m. His younger brother, Thomas, is a ski jumper.
