Stefan Tymkewycz

Stefan Tymkewycz (* 1959 in Abbeyhill, Edinburgh today ) is a Scottish politician and member of the Scottish National Party.

The former policeman Tymkewycz is now a business owner for project protection. In the SNP he was since 1999 as coordinator of the campaign active. In 2003 he wrote his first application for a seat in the Edinburgh City Council. In 2007 he was elected for the SNP in the Edinburgh City Council. In the Scottish Parliament elections in 2007 Tymkewycz first appeared on to national elections. He applied for a list of the mandate constituency Lothians and took on the Regional Evaluation of the SNP a fifth. As a result of the election results, he moved into the Scottish Parliament. Just three months later Tymkewycz announced his resignation in order to focus on his position on the city council can. On 31 August 2007, he resigned from Parliament and is so far with 121 days of the reigning shortest Scottish parliament. As a successor to his party colleague Shirley -Anne Somerville was ready.
