Stefan Wessels
Stefan Wessels (born 28 February 1979 in Rahden ) is a German goalkeeper coach and former football player.
Career
FC Bayern Munich
After his youth at Eintracht Schepsdorf and later TuS Lingen, the goalkeeper moved at the age of 19 years in the 1998/99 season for Bayern Munich. After he was employed in his first season exclusively in the amateurs, Wessels played in the subsequent period more and more into the foreground. Due to numerous failures in the first team he was offered September 21, 1999 suddenly the chance to play in the Champions League match at the Glasgow Rangers, which he used by a good performance. With 20 years and 205 days he was until then the youngest German goalkeeper who has played in the Champions League. 1 FC Köln
For the 2003/04 season signed Wessels at newly promoted Bundesliga 1 FC Cologne. Everton FC
In August 2007, Wessels triggered his contract on a free transfer in Cologne and, initially for one season for Everton in the English Premier League. Odense BK
Mid-January 2011 Wessels signed a contract for a year and half in the Danish first division club Odense BK.
