Stefano Angeleri

Stefano Angeleri ( born August 26, 1926 in Castellazzo Bormida; † January 31, 2012 in Bergamo ) was an Italian football player and coach.

As a teenager, Angeleri played in his native Piedmont for clubs in Ovada, Acqui ( 1943-1944 ) and Voghera (1945 to 1947) before him in 1947 Juventus committed. In 1949 he was transferred to Atalanta. There he became in time for performers and top players of his team. For a long time he was the player with the most appearances for Bergamo. The midfielder was like his more slender physique through great effort, fighting spirit and game overview. Because of its kind to run with wing-like arms outstretched, his " The Seagull" was the nickname bestowed. In Serie A, it brought Angeleri to 328 games and scored four goals. In the B series, he had 67 missions. With Atalanta he won 1958/59 the championship of series B.

After ending his playing career Angeleri trained first youth teams of his club until he as coach of the First took over in 1966 by the dismissed Ettore Puricelli. In 1969 he moved to Parma, the then played unterklassig. After a few more positions, he ended his coaching career in 1986 at Calcio Lecco.

Angeleri died in his adopted hometown of Bergamo 85 years.
