Stefano da Verona

Stefano da Verona (* 1374 in Zevio, † 1450 in Verona, Stefano di Giovanni, Stefano da Zevio ) was an Italian painter.

Stefano was born in Verona, where he spent most of his life. Stefano was one of the first who painted in an elegant, decorative and poetic style in the International Gothic style. His Madonna, in an enclosed garden in Verona, is surrounded by an unreal atmosphere. The painting " Adoration of the Magi " ( 1435 ) is considered one of his most important works, and is located in Milan.
