Stefano Lucchini

Stefano Lucchini ( born October 2, 1980 in Codogno, Italy) is an Italian football player.

Lucchini plays since 2007 for the Italian Serie A club Sampdoria, he previously played for FC Empoli, Ternana Calcio and U.S. Cremonese. In August 2010 he was appointed by Cesare Prandelli in the Italian national team, but he did not play. His position is defender.

Life

Stefano Lucchini was born in Codogno in the province of Lodi.

Career

Association

He grew up in the youth team of U.S. Cremonese and was charged with 19 regular players in the first team at that time in Serie C1, the third highest Italian class played. In the summer of 2000 he moved to Ternana Calcio in Serie B, and even there he was summoned and a regular in this time even for the U- 21 team in Italy. After his second season at Ternana the defender moved to FC Empoli, with which he makes his debut in Serie A in 2002. Lucchini remained after the descent from Empoli in Serie B in the team that rose again the following year. Since 2007 he plays for Sampdoria in Serie A.

National

In the U -21 Lucchini was among others in the squad at the European Championships in 2002.

On 6 August 2010, he Cesare Prandelli called to the national team for the game on August 10 against the Ivory Coast, where he did not, however, was used.
