Steffen Brand

Steffen Brand ( born March 10, 1965 in Recklinghausen ) is a former German track and field athlete.

Steffen fire long stood in the shadow of nearly the same age Dieter Baumann, was but in 1990, Baumann was injured, German champion in 5000 -meter run. 1992 rose Steffen fire to an obstacle course. About 3000 meter steeplechase, he was in 1992, 1993 and 1996 German Masters.

He was fifth Olympics in 1992, he was sixth Olympics in 1996. In 1993, he was sixth at the World Championships in 1995 he finished fourth.

From 1992 to 1996 he was among the world's top 3,000 - meter steeplechase runners and was mostly alongside Alessandro Lambruschini best European player at the season highlights. Ironically, in the European Championships in 1994 however, he was not at his best.

From 1985-1993, he started 04 Leverkusen for the TV Wattenscheid 01, 1994 for the LG Bayer. His personal best in the 3,000-meter steeplechase is 8:14,37 min from the year 1995.

1997 Steffen fire the Rudolf Harbig Memorial Prize.

Dr. Steffen fire works as a sports medicine today.
