Steffen Deibler

Steffen Deibler (* July 10, 1987 in Biberach an der Riss) is a German swimmers. He is the current world record holder on the short track about 50 meters butterfly.

Career

Deiblers main routes are short freestyle and butterfly routes routes. He has made his Abitur at the Pestalozzi -Gymnasium Biberach in 2007 and 2008 studied environmental engineering at the HAW Hamburg since October. Because of his studies, he joined in September 2008 from his hometown club TG Biberach ( Biberach Turngemeinde ) to Hamburg swimming club.

In 2008 he was in Berlin German masters over 50 and 100m freestyle and qualified it as on the 200 -meter freestyle (2nd place) for the Olympic Games in Beijing. On 14 November 2009, he swam a new world record in Berlin on the short track over 50 meters butterfly in a time of 21.80 s, and on 15 November a new German record 50m freestyle in 20.73 s

On the Short Course European Championships 2010 in Eindhoven, he was then the most successful participants with three gold individual medals, a gold and a silver medal in the relay.
